Poise is in development. This page describes the current Sensor Explorer, our design commitments for the app, and how this website works. We will update it before a public app release.

Motion stays local.

The current Poise Sensor Explorer reads supported headphone motion through Apple’s Core Motion APIs. It displays motion values and a short timeline held in memory. It does not save continuous motion recordings or send motion to a server.

No camera. No microphone. No account.

Poise does not use your camera, record audio, require authentication, or include an analytics SDK. The planned calibration and preferences will be stored locally on your Mac. Any future diagnostic recording feature will require an explicit action and remain local.

This website

This site has no analytics scripts, advertising pixels, account system, email collection, or cookies set by our application. Fonts and page assets are served with the site. The interactive preview runs entirely in your browser and does not access any sensors.

Cloudflare hosts the website and processes ordinary connection information, such as IP addresses and request metadata, to deliver and protect the site. This is separate from the app, which does not upload motion data. Read Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its handling of this information.

You stay in control.

You can stop motion acquisition in Poise or quit the app. macOS manages motion permission; availability of permission controls can depend on your system version. No motion history is retained by the current Sensor Explorer after it is closed.
